The second round of the Classic saw the Skyhawks suffer their first loss of the young season 81-68. The Skyhawks could not find the range in the first half shooting 28% from the field to trail by ten at the half 30-40. The Skyhawks warmed up some what in the second have shooting 41%, but not near enough to catch the hot shooting Hawks of Malcolm X. Three Skyhawk players were in double figures with DJ Williams and Robbie Minor scoring in double figures for the third straight game with 13 pts.and 17 pts. respectively. Leading the way for the Skyhawks in his first game of the year, Rico Combs had an outstanding performance with 19 pts. and 16 rebounds to lead the Skyhawks in both areas, while Rick Sanders led the Skyhawks with 4 assists.
