W 76-75

The Skyhawks played their best game since returning from break to defeat a strong Illinois Valley team on the road 76-75. After leading by 2 at half, the Skyhawks trailed by as many as 11 in the second half before mounting a comeback that saw Kwan Waller convert off a full court pressure steal to put the Skyhawks with one with 40 seconds left. A defensive stop gave the Skyhawks the ball and freshmen center JaMario Dunlap dunked on an inbound play to put the Skyhawks up one with 30 seconds to play. Illinois Valley tied the game at the free throw line and with 3 tenths of a second Rico Combs was fouled on an offensive rebound and went to the line and made his first shot to give Sauk the conference victory. Leading the way for the Skyhawks (12-4 2-0) was sophomore Rico Combs with 18 points and sophomore Kwan Waller chipped in 16 points. Freshmen JaMario Dunlap had his second game in a row with 15 points in the victory.
