Purpose:
S.T.R.I.V.E. is a 16-bed long-term facility designed to deliver rehabilitative care to younger mentally alert individuals who are developmentally disabled, and as a result must use wheelchairs for mobility.
Remarks:
Area: Northwest Illinois region.
Hours: 8:00AM-4:30AM.
Services: Housing, 24-hour assisted supportive care, Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, Training for independent living program, Recreational therapy, Speech therapy, Social Services, Day treatment rehabilitation program, Computer vocational training.
Eligibility: Mentally alert, wheelchair user, younger adults (ages range from 18-50, with an average of 29.) Must have a developmental disability diagnosis.
