Purpose:

Winning Wheels is a specialty long-term care facility designed to deliver rehabilitative care to younger individuals who are physically disabled and, as a result, must use wheelchairs for mobility. Winning Wheels is a forerunner in the field of rehabilitation by being one of the few facilities in the nation to combine the treatment regime typically associated with a rehabilitation hospital and the skilled long-term care provided by a residential facility. Winning Wheels strives to restore people to their maximum level of physical, social, and mental functioning and eliminate barriers of independent living.

Remarks:

Services are available all over nation. Office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM from Monday to Friday. Winning Wheels offers housing, 24-hour residential nursing care, physical and occupational therapy day treatment, vocational training, psychosocial support, and recreation therapy. Professionals provide training in self-care, coping skills, money management, and more. Individual must be dependent or semi-dependent on a wheelchair and be 18 years or older.
