Physics 270: Topics and Issues in Physics

This course is offered occasionally in a seminar or workshop format on special topics or current issues in physics that are not examined in detail in the traditional course offerings.  The central theme of the course will be listed on the student’s permanent academic record and is repeatable three times for a maximum of twelve credits.

Course Outcomes

  1. Examine a current topic in physics in terms of its scientific and social content and impact.
  2. Acquire an increased understanding of fundamental principles in physics by applying these principles to selected problems and situations.
