What I like most about SVCC

There are many things I love about teaching at SVCC, but my favorite thing is influencing the lives of others. Each school year brings new students and opportunity to model life-long learning while encouraging good work ethic and positive attitude. Each unit and lesson brings new perspective. I love the small class sizes which allow for honest conversations and open opinions. I have gained so much from my students and colleagues over the past thirteen years. I feel very grateful to have chosen this career and have pride working for this college. I believe my own happiness and growth has translated into the success of my students. I love hearing success stories from my former students; it is my favorite part of being an educator! Sauk has provided me opportunity to encounter different philosophies, learning styles, ethnicity, backgrounds, etc. All of this allows me to continue on my professional journey.
