Faculty - Part-time
Sauk Valley Community College, a comprehensive community college located in a picturesque rural setting invites applications from innovative individuals for adjunct Nursing faculty for fall 2013 for clinicals at KSB Hospital. Located in rural northwestern Illinois, along the scenic Rock River, between the cities of Dixon and Sterling; the College is one hour from Rockford and the Quad Cities and two hours west of Chicago. The following clinical hours are available:
NURS 230 - Medical Surgical Nursing II
Monday - 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm
Tuesday - 7:00 am to 1:30 pm
NURS 237 - Maternity Nursing
Monday - 6:50 am - 12:15 pm
Wednesday - 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm
Thursday - 6:50 am to 12:15 pm
Responsibilities:
To be cognizant of the philosophy and objectives of the College and use them as guidelines in planning, structuring, and teaching courses. Reports directly to the Dean of Health Professions who is the supervisor over the position.
Qualifications:
Current license as a Registered Nurse (or eligibility for licensure) in Illinois, two (2) years experience in clinical nursing experience and a master's degree in nursing is required. Experience teaching in a community college environment preferred.
