If you are new to computers, Sauk Valley Community College will offer Basics of Computers from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 27, in Room 3K2.

This class will give participants everything necessary to help in purchasing a computer or how to get started if you are just getting started in computers. Topics will include computer components and media that can be used, keyboard and mouse operations, terminology, operating system, a brief overview of basic Windows commands and shortcuts, software available and how software is installed or removed. Tackle several tasks that will allow you to maintain and troubleshoot computer problems.

Cost for the class is $75 and includes all materials. To register, stop by Sauk’s Office of Admissions and Records, Room 1J1, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, or between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays.
