Sauk Valley Community College will offer the two-evening Wilton Method of Cake Decorating – Decorating Basics, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, October 13 and 20, in Room 2L1A.

With the correct technique and equipment, your cakes can become works of art. Students will need to bring a hand mixer, bowls for frosting, one pound of powdered sugar, one cup of shortening, flavoring like vanilla, and a hand towel. A supply kit is available from instructor for $30.

Cost for the class is $60. To register, stop by Sauk’s Office of Admissions and Records, Room 1J1, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, or between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays.
