On September 8 at 7 p.m. in SVCC’s Mathis Theater, a production with a solution will help make an awkward discussion for many, an easy experience. The production’s topic is sex. Sex Signals will take hard to discuss topics such as rape, sexual assault, and prevention in a way that makes audiences consider all consequences while feeling relaxed and comfortable.
Sex Signals differs from traditional sexual assault prevention programs in that it incorporates improvisational comedy, education, and audience interaction to provide a provocative look at dating, sex, and the core issue of consent. The two-person play challenges the audience to stand up and search for signs of sexual assault and search for solutions to create safe relationships as well as how to positively intervene in vulnerable situations that can lead to sexual violence.
Sex Signals is a FREE event for SVCC students with a first-come, first-serve basis. On Thursday, September 8 there is only one place to be to have an experience that will make you think, learn, and have fun. Make sure to mark your calendar to visit Mathis Theater and take part in Sex Signals. To learn more about Sex Signals, check out its Facebook www.facebook.com/
