Program Goals

  • Prepares students to transfer to a college or university to pursue an advanced degree in occupational or physical therapy.
  • Provide preparation for a master’s program in occupational therapy or a doctor of physical therapy including health science, biology or other science related fields.
  • Provide preparation for a master’s program in the pre-professional medical associate in science as required by medical schools, dental schools, veterinary schools, and pharmacy schools.

Dianna H Brevitt

Dianna H Brevitt

Dianna Brevitt is certified and registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiologic Technology and Computed Tomography. She is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), Illinois State Society of Radiologic Technologists (ISSRT), and Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences. Ms. Brevitt served at the state level as a board member for the ISSRT and at the national level as a delegate to the ASRT. She offers over 25 years of experience in the field of radiography and served as an SVCC instructor for over 12 years.

Ms. Anton, a former lab technician at Penn State's Plant Pathology Department and Mushroom Research Center, found teaching to be her true calling. A former biology instructor at Penn Highlands Community College, she has been an instructor at SVCC since 2013.
