Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Flatbed CDL Operator to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience driving commercial vehicles, particularly flatbed trucks, and a valid CDL license. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely transport cargo using flatbed trucks while adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations.

Responsibilities:

Operating Flatbed Trucks: Drive flatbed trucks to transport a variety of cargo, including construction materials, equipment, machinery, and other oversized loads.

Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload cargo onto the flatbed truck, ensuring proper securement and balance to prevent shifting during transit.

Securing Cargo: Secure cargo using appropriate tie-down methods, such as chains, straps, and binders, to comply with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and ensure safe transport.

Inspecting Vehicles: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the flatbed truck and its cargo to ensure safety and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Maintaining Records: Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and cargo delivery times. Complete necessary paperwork, such as bills of lading and delivery receipts.

Adhering to Safety Regulations: Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and securing loads according to DOT guidelines.

Communicating with Dispatch: Maintain communication with dispatchers to receive load assignments, updates on delivery schedules, and any changes in route or traffic conditions.

Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by delivering cargo on time and in good condition. Interact professionally with customers and handle any inquiries or concerns.

Qualifications:

Valid CDL license with a clean driving record.
Proven experience operating flatbed trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and occasional overnight trips as needed.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
Stamina to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods.
Agility to climb onto the flatbed truck and secure cargo.
