Julie Schroeder-Ranz

Coach Schroeder-Ranz is in her fourth season as the Skyhawks head coach. After graduating from Monmouth College with a B.S. in Physical Education and participating in three sports in her college career, she earned her Master’s Degree in Teaching from Aurora University.

She is very excited about the challenges coaching in college brings and is looking forward to building the Skyhawk program.  “I am loving the opportunity to coach the Skyhawks.  I hope to continue to build and bring the women’s basketball program to the level the other Sauk teams are achieving. I am equally excited to mentor these young women and watch them grow.”

Coach Schroeder Ranz currently teaches at Sterling High School as the Alternative School Instructor and resides in the country in Forreston with her husband, Ted, and her dog, Molly.

 

Kiley Johnson - Assistant Coach

Assistant Coach Kiley Johnson enters her fourth season with the Skyhawks. Johnson has spent the last 12 years coaching basketball at various levels and currently coaches middle school volleyball. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Johnson played basketball for four years, making an appearance in the NCAA tournament in 2006. She also participated in two overseas tours with USA Athletes International.

“I am extremely grateful and excited to be a part of the Skyhawks’ program,” Johnson said. “I started my coaching career under Coach Schroeder-Ranz at the high school level and look forward to furthering my knowledge at the next level.”

Coach Johnson is a Pediatric Therapist in Early Intervention.

Scott Miller comes to Sauk Valley Women's Basketball with 15 years of coaching experience.  He started coaching at the elementary level before moving to the high school level. Dixon, Newman, and Sterling where he has spent his last nine years of high school coaching. Coach Miller is excited to be coaching at the next level with a group of young women who show abundant potential.
