Coach Sara Kipping begins her 18th year as Skyhawk Men's Tennis program coach. Kipping continues to build a solid Men's
Tennis program. Her 2021 Men's team was Region Runner Up for the first time in school
history. This is the first time a Men's team has qualified and participated in the
NJCAA National Tennis Championships. She has also coached the Women's team for 30
years. Several of her teams have placed third at Regionals before the rule that top
three qualify for Nationals. Kipping was inducted into the Region IV Hall of Fame in 2013 and has been named Coach
of the Year several times. An SVCC graduate and former Skyhawk tennis and softball player, Kipping knows the
dedication and determination it takes to compete in a sport and excel academically.
She graduated with an Associate's degree in Science with an emphasis on education.
As a player, she was one of the first athletes to receive an athletic waiver award
from SVCC and was on the first Women's team to qualify for nationals. Kipping lives in Dixon with her husband Bob of 36 years and is a Title 1 Paraprofessional
at Jefferson School. She has two children and four grandchildren. Matt and Korissa
Kipping, Katie and Dilan Dempsey all played for Kipping and graduated from SVCC. Her
grandkids are Karley, Zander, Lane, and Levi.
