Coach Sara Kipping begins her 32nd year of coaching the Skyhawk Women’s Tennis Program
at Sauk Valley Community College.   Kipping was inducted into the Region IV Hall of Fame in 2013. She has coached numerous
teams that have qualified for the national tournament, and has been named coach of

to both compete in a sport and excel academically. Her teams have been awarded Academic

Conferences Academic Achievement Award. Kipping graduated from SVCC with an Associate of Science with an emphasis on Education.
As a player, she was one of the first athletes to receive an Athletic Waiver Award
from SVCC. She also placed 2nd at regionals and was on the first SVCC women’s tennis team to qualify for nationals
in 1983. Coach Kipping lives in Dixon with her husband of 37 years, Bob, and is a Title 1 Reading
Para Professional at Jefferson School in Dixon.  Her son Matt Kipping and his wife
Korrisa, both grads of SVCC, played tennis for Kipping, along with grandkids Karley
and Zander Kipping. Plus, her daughter Katie (Kipping) Dempsey and her husband Dilan,
