Function of the Job
Write computer reporting programs accessing the Banner application software package and provide technical support for maintaining report software related to the Banner database.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Write computer programs for the College’s Management Information Services.
- In cooperation with System Analyst/DBA, develop and maintain data-blocks, dashboards, and reports in the Argos reporting system.
- In cooperation with Software Application Support Specialist, develop and maintain letters in the FormFusion document enhancement system.
- Responsible for gathering data for various State reporting.
- Provide backup support to other ITS personnel as assigned by supervisor.
- Assume all other reasonable professional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Functions
- Must understand and support the mission of the community college.
- Must be able to communicate effectively by telephone and email on a daily basis.
- Must be able to provide and understand verbal/visual orders from supervisor and to subordinates.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to work non-standard hours as needed.
Personal Interaction
Frequent contact is made with all levels of College personnel, students, and outside organizations in relation to routine departmental services and duties in providing appropriate assistance and information as requested.
Supervision Excercised
No supervision required.
Requirements
Associates degree in Computer Science or related field, or comparable work experience required. One year of relevant work experience required, with community college experience preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills; experience with relational database programming, SQL and Oracle required. Banner, Argos, and FormFusion experience preferred.
