Function of the Job
The Title IX Deputy Coordinator, in conjunction with the Title IX Coordinator, is responsible for coordinating the College’s compliance with Title IX, and other related discrimination laws, and serves as a College contact for cases alleging misconduct, specifically sexual misconduct, gender‐based discrimination, harassment, in mate partner violence, and stalking for students, faculty, and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the Title IX Coordinator, provides ongoing consultation with College stakeholders regarding Title IX requirements, compliance, andgrievance resolution.
- In conjunction with the Title IX Coordinator, provides resource referrals to students
and staff involved in investigations.
- In conjunction with the Title IX Coordinator, cultivates relationships and collaborates
with a variety of campus partners to ensure Title IX policies are communicated to
all constituencies, including the gathering of a Title IX task force, if necessary.
- Remains knowledgeable of federal and state law and regulations, and trends within
higher education related to harassment and other discriminatory practices. Identifies
and integrates best practices into knowledge base and practice.
- In conjunction with the Title IX Coordinator, develops, delivers and oversees culturally
responsive educational programs for students, faculty, and staff including disseminating
educational materials and conducting outreach and training. Organizes and maintains
all training and complaint records.
- Develops and implements a case management database to organize, manage, and track
Title IX incidents.
- In conjunction with the Title IX Coordinator Coordinates Title IX efforts with other
institution offices that receive or investigate complaints.
- Gathers evidence and investigates incidents and complaints reported as Title IX violations
filed with the Office of Equity and Inclusion. Advises impacted parties and respondents
of their rights.
- In conjunction with the Title IX Coordinator, Coordinates interim measures and accommodations
throughout the college.
- Ensures a fair, timely, and well‐documented investigative process. Maintains accurate
and thorough records and notes of investigate process.
- Creates comprehensive written investigate reports that clearly identify the issues
investigated, identify all relevant university policy, and summarize all relevant
evidence.
- Assists the Title IX Coordinator in creating partnerships among the diverse constituency
of the district and region.
- Evaluates and determines merit/no merit of complaint claims as assigned.
- Summarizes case findings in preparation for distribution as assigned.
- Assists the Title IX Coordinator in tracking trends, reports, and addresses systemic
problems relating to complaints.
- Assume all other reasonable professional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree is required.

Tort Liability Statement:
Coordinates the College Risk Management Program in a capacity appropriate to this position. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring conditions, events and circumstances present through daily College operations, and communicating observations to the appropriate supervisor or taking necessary actions to correct, prevent or limit safety problems. May serve as a member of a committee that supports the health, safety and/or legal rights of visitors, students and staff.
