What is a CNA Competency Course?

This course is designed for students who have a current professional license (MA, EMT, etc.) to show proficiency in basic nursing skills and care to individuals who need assistance with activities of daily living. Successful completion of this course will meet nursing program application requirements.

 

How do you get started?

Appropriate candidates for competency evaluation must:

  1. Register for the Skills Competency 21 Manual Skills Course, VOC 121, through SVCC's Admissions Office.  Email Katy Keller at katy.j.keller@svcc.edu for permission to register.
  2. Submit current professional licensure (MA, EMT etc.) to Katy Keller at katy.j.keller@svcc.edu before the manual skills evaluation.

      Costs for 21 manual skills evaluation is included with your registration to this course.
