Provide educational plans for all military and veteran education beneficiaries
Please look at the programs available.
They will provide specifics on their degree program. Since your degree program will be specific to YOUR needs and educational outcomes a further degree program will be discussed by you and your advisor.
Do not participate in fraudulent or aggressive recruiting techniques or misrepresentation
Sauk Valley Community College does not pressure any student to attend this institution. In fact, we encourage students to gather information about our school, compare it with others, and make the right decision for themselves.
Provide accommodations for service members and reservists absent due to service requirements
Sauk Valley Community College is mindful of the service obligations to our students who are still serving in the military either through active service, National Guard, or reserve obligation. We encourage all students who are facing a service requirement to contact your academic advisor or academic department. We also encourage students who are facing absence due to military service to see our Military Activation page.
Designate a point of contact for academic and financial advising
Questions regarding education benefits should be directed to the Veterans Service Coordinator (Student Services Center) at 815.835.6315. Questions regarding academic advising, personal, social or career services should be directed to the Veteran's Representative at 815.835.6390 (Student Services Center).
Ensure accreditation of all new programs prior to enrolling students
Sauk Valley Community College upholds to the highest of academic standards and practices. Sauk Valley Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission in the North Central Associate of College and Schools (NCA). The NCE is one of six regional agencies that provide institutional accreditation to institutions of higher education.
Align institutional refund policies with those under Title IV
Sauk Valley Community College refund policies comply with Federal Government Title IV funding.
