Introduction to the Humanities is the study of humanity and its involvement with the arts in society. It is a study of visual arts, music, literature, and philosophy beginning with the Greeks to the 20th century. With lectures, slides, performances, demonstrations, and videos, the student learns how the artist helps us to see that the arts are a reflection of our world. A study of a special topic or current issue relating to humanities. Topics will vary from semester to semester and will be listed in the course schedule. The course may be repeated when topics vary.
